Engineering Lead – Content Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Serve as an embedded leader within the team.

• Foster a trusting environment that supports the sustainable delivery of high-quality software.

• Integrate engineering and leadership roles, contributing to development as necessary.

• Share accountability with the Product Owner for delivery, direction, and quality.

• Enhance focus, minimize context switching, and consistently improve processes and time to market.

• Continuously advance technical standards and architectural practices.

• Define clear decision-making boundaries, encourage ownership, and speed up team decisions.

• Ensure alignment with other teams and overarching business objectives.

• Advocate for the team's interests, development, and engagement.

• Assist engineers in their growth and oversee performance management and recruitment.

• Collaborate closely with Agile Coaches, Staff Engineers, and Heads of Engineering to enhance the engineering organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven leadership experience.

• Multiple years of hands-on software engineering experience within complex system landscapes.

• Preferably experience with Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot.

• In-depth knowledge of software architecture, especially Domain-Driven Design.

• Experience in implementing software architecture in live production settings.

• Background in establishing technical standards and influencing architectural decisions.

• Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and contemporary CI/CD practices.

• Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL in production environments.

• Willingness to adopt AI-assisted engineering practices; practical experience is advantageous.

• Proficient in the German language, with at least a C1 level.
