Engineering and Construction Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Oversee onsite field management and coordination for electric transmission projects.

• Supervise 20 to 100+ contractor personnel for construction contracts reaching up to $20 million.

• Mentor the Construction Engineer.

• Initiate and assess jobsite safety and quality control procedures.

• Conduct and document safety and quality audits.

• Monitor construction activities, including manpower, equipment, tools, and material requirements.

• Interpret and relay specifications, drawings, and instructions to contractors.

• Ensure contractor adherence to specifications, drawings, and instructions.

• Lead construction progress meetings addressing safety, quality, schedule, scope, and budget.

• Document and submit progress reports.

• Address safety issues, cost overruns, schedule delays, and change requests.

• Review specifications and drawings for constructability.

• Assist in developing the critical path project schedule.

• Evaluate material, construction access, restoration, construction techniques, and jobsite security prior to mobilization.

• Enforce job working rules, worker protection assurance, OSHA and environmental regulations, and Ameren operating procedures.

• Provide public relations and liaison support among parties involved in construction on Ameren property.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university is required.

• A Professional Engineer License is preferred.

• A minimum of seven years of project construction or project leadership experience is required.

• Supervisory or team/contractor leadership experience is preferred.

• Proficiency in project construction schedules is required.

• Strong leadership, management, analytical, communication, and human relations skills are preferred.

• Must be adaptable and flexible.

• May be required to work on out-of-town projects for periods of one year or more and shift work.

• Subject to call-out and overtime for storm and other project work.

• Must complete the First Line Supervisor Test and achieve a recommended status to be eligible for further selection procedures.
