
Engineer Surveyor – Lift & Crane

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Conduct inspections and evaluate plant, equipment, and installations at client locations.
• Anticipate client requirements and help ensure adherence to applicable legislation.
• Collaborate closely with the Engineer Surveyor team under the guidance of a Senior Operations Team Leader.
• Generate examination reports after inspections utilizing electronic reporting tools.
• Perform hands-on inspections of lifts, material handling equipment, cranes, and construction plant.
• Organize and schedule meetings, visits, and the allocation of work tasks.
• Manage documentation and handle general administrative duties.
• Provide support and stand in for fellow Engineer Surveyors when necessary.
• Travel within the designated local work area to meet with clients.
• Experienced engineer with a solid understanding of the Lift and Crane discipline.
• Current knowledge of and familiarity with relevant compliance and regulatory standards for the Lift and Crane sector.
• Background in lifts, cranes, or materials handling equipment, combined with practical experience in manufacturing, repair, or maintenance.
• Excellent customer interaction capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• NVQ Level 3 or higher in a Mechanical-related field.
• Valid full UK driving license.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to independently organize weekly workloads.
• Proficient in using tablets and smartphones as essential work tools.
• Willingness to make informed decisions and accept responsibility.
• Capability to plan work effectively in the short, medium, and long term.
• Ability to travel efficiently within the assigned local work area.
• Incorporated Engineer status is preferred.
