Engineer, Merger & Acquisition Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Integrate newly acquired companies into the central Abacus technical framework.

• Carry out tenant-to-tenant migrations for Microsoft 365 and Exchange.

• Streamline user mailboxes, distribution groups, shared mailboxes, and Microsoft Teams configurations.

• Transition SharePoint sites, OneDrive storage, and legacy cloud/on-premise file shares into centralized data structures.

• Maintain data integrity, permissions, and access controls post-migration.

• Provide support for hosted services, endpoint environments, and enhance end-user experience during initial team setup.

• Emphasize automation, standardization, and security posture while transitioning services to another team.

• Prepare incoming teams for changes, establish expectations, and assist them on Day 1.

• Execute scheduled evening and weekend tasks during migration periods to reduce business downtime.

⛳️ Requirements

• Cloud: Microsoft Azure

• Office 365

• Single Sign-On (SSO)

• Application & Desktop Delivery: Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix NetScaler (ADC)

• VMware and virtualization

• Experience with enterprise storage (preferred)

• Proficiency in Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux

• Knowledge of DNS & DHCP (preferred)

• Availability to work East Coast hours, including some nights and weekends

• Proven ability to analyze root causes and develop long-term solutions.

• Capability to perform under pressure, prioritize competing tasks, and meet tight deadlines.

• Self-motivated individual with strong ownership, able to work independently while collaborating as necessary.
