Energy Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Monitor daily energy consumption of the facility and offer guidance, best practices, and improvements to existing operations.

• Provide mentorship to the owner regarding energy strategies.

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of the Central Energy Plant, including subcontractors, operators, and in-house service teams.

• Administer Maintenance Reserve Accounts for the Central Energy Plant.

• Collaborate with operators to guarantee efficient plant operations.

• Conduct ongoing training sessions for Plant Operators.

• Create and uphold the Plant Operating Manual.

• Support the EPC team in coordinating engineering, procurement, and construction activities with OMC operations.

• Facilitate on-site troubleshooting and diagnostic activities in conjunction with the remote support services team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of management experience in a central plant or facility.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program.

• 3 to 4 years of experience in mechanical construction with a sizable mechanical subcontractor or MEP design consultant.

• Comprehensive knowledge of building codes and related standards.

• EIT registration is required while pursuing PE certification.

• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

• Proficient in both verbal and written communication.

• Detail-oriented and capable of managing various ongoing projects in a dynamic environment.

• Well-informed about the industry and the Company’s competitors.

• Excellent multitasking capabilities, with the flexibility to perform tasks beyond the standard scope of work when needed.

• PE certification is preferred.

• Willingness to travel 0-5% of the time to job sites or office locations.
