Energy Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Deliver engineering and technical support for Evaluation Measurement & Verification projects and utility clients

• Execute fundamental engineering assessments of energy systems across diverse building types, systems, and sectors

• Create and implement qualitative and quantitative models to tackle research inquiries

• Develop and utilize best-in-class data collection techniques

• Design models and data gathering tools under guidance

• Oversee datasets and ensure data accuracy using Excel, R, and various data management applications

• Perform data analysis and apply data cleansing methods

• Compute and interpret basic statistics and relationships in quantitative datasets

• Summarize qualitative information and derive key insights

• Employ calculations, algorithms, and/or modeling to estimate savings from energy efficiency and demand response strategies

• Assist senior engineering personnel with data gathering and cleaning

• Conduct preliminary site evaluations at customer locations

• Prepare technical reports detailing analysis outcomes and insights

• Review project data and reported findings for accuracy, errors, and completeness

• Collaborate with project leads on quality control strategies and outcomes

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in engineering is mandatory

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Experience with data management and analytical software (e.g., R, etc.)

• Understanding of Energy Efficiency products and their functionalities

• Familiarity with Mechanical and Electrical systems in relation to energy efficiency

• Experience with regression analysis and other statistical modeling techniques is advantageous

• Proficiency in using eQuest, EnergyPlus, and other industry-standard software tools is a plus

• Experience conducting data analysis in R is beneficial
