Energy Analyst II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Gather, compile, arrange, and analyze utility consumption data and rates.

• Investigate changes in utility rates and trends in deregulated energy costs.

• Perform energy benchmarks utilizing EPA Energy Star and other resources.

• Examine utility invoices, rectify discrepancies, and formulate utility budgets.

• Provide assistance with energy audits, analyze field survey data, and evaluate potential energy or cost reduction improvements.

• Support the preparation of technical reports and measurement and verification plans.

• Establish energy consumption baselines and adjustments through regression analysis.

• Collaborate with clients, utility representatives, analysts, engineers, construction managers, and commissioning agents.

• Review metering-system documentation to ensure compliance with measurement and verification requirements.

• Confirm facility utility performance and authenticate savings.

• Create, maintain, and disseminate M&V dashboards and reports.

• Assess energy, weather, and building automation data.

• Identify operational issues within facilities and formulate recommendations.

• Compile reports for project stakeholders.

• Assist with engineering-focused energy models and life-cycle cost analyses.

• Provide support for engineering calculations, methodologies, and technical documentation.

• Execute assigned tasks with minimal supervision in a collaborative problem-solving environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, or a related discipline.

• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Detail-oriented with a readiness to engage in various ongoing projects within a dynamic environment.

• Well-informed about the industry and the Company's competitors.

• Excellent multitasking capabilities, with the flexibility to perform tasks beyond the standard scope of work as needed.

• Willingness to travel 5–10% to job sites or office locations.

• Preferred: Engineering Intern (EI) licensure.

• Preferred: CEM, CMVP, CEP, CEA, EEP, or BEP certification from the Association of Energy Engineers or equivalent.

• Preferred: Experience with energy efficiency programs.

• Preferred: Experience in analyzing utility data.

• Preferred: Basic understanding of commercial HVAC systems.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI, Python, Tableau, Jupyter Notebook, or R.

• Capability to climb stairs.

• Ability to remain in a stationary position, frequently standing or sitting for extended periods.

• Repetitive motions of the wrist, hand, and/or fingers.

• Capacity to adjust or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
