ENDO/IG Access Care Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the Regional Director of Patient Access & Reimbursement.

• Function as a field-based access leader, integrating ownership of the patient journey, reimbursement expertise, and account-level strategies.

• Serve as the main point of contact for enrolled patients from the time of enrollment through therapy initiation and continuation.

• Conduct assessments of patient needs, focusing on coverage, affordability, and logistical challenges.

• Coordinate care among healthcare providers, caregivers, and various sites of care.

• Ensure accountability for the complete patient progression and address access barriers as they arise.

• Provide guidance on reimbursement matters such as prior authorization, step edits, coding, and payer-specific requirements.

• Address reimbursement challenges through escalation and coordination efforts.

• Deliver compliant education to healthcare professionals regarding reimbursement processes, coverage pathways, hub services, enrollment, and financial assistance programs.

• Design and implement account-level access strategies.

• Identify systemic obstacles and enhance workflows to minimize therapy initiation delays.

• Engage with payer organizations to clarify coverage policies and tackle access issues.

• Facilitate effective communication between healthcare provider offices, payers, and patient support programs.

• Provide internal insights regarding payer trends, reimbursement challenges, and access barriers.

• Transform field insights into recommendations for cross-functional strategies.

• Collaborate with Sales, Key Account Managers, Marketing, and Patient Solutions teams.

• Participate in account planning and synchronized patient-centric access initiatives.

• Operate a Pfizer company vehicle and travel by air for external meetings, conferences, and other engagements.

• Travel to healthcare provider offices as necessary, with approximately 30% travel, including overnight stays required.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical or related customer-facing roles; 9 years with a Master’s degree, BSN, or RPh credential.

• At least 1 year in a support role focused on Access and Reimbursement.

• A minimum of 3–5 years in Specialty Pharma; experience in Endocrinology or Immunoglobulin preferred.

• Strong comprehension of reimbursement, government payment systems, provider/carrier networks, co-pay assistance programs, and specialty policy dynamics within the rare disease community.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Experience in strategic planning and successful implementation of plans.

• Proven leadership skills and the ability to collaborate across internal divisions and with multiple stakeholders.

• Capacity to operate within a highly regulated environment, adhering to strict company compliance guidelines and procedures.

• Documented success in collaborating with a variety of customers, clients, and stakeholders.

• Training and experience in responsible business communication, both written and verbal.

• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.

• Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the last 7 years will disqualify the applicant.

• Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, mentor and develop others, and supervise and guide colleagues’ work.

• Must reside within the designated geography or within 25 miles of territory boundaries.

• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer.

• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.

• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
