This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Formulate and implement business development strategies to uncover and secure new prospects within the Life Sciences sector.
• Establish and nurture relationships with stakeholders in security, IT, operations, and executive leadership.
• Oversee the entire sales process from prospecting and opportunity development to proposal, negotiation, and closure.
• Position and advocate for HID Physical Access Control Solutions, which include mobile credentials, authentication, and security technologies.
• Present to customers through presentations, demonstrations, training, and consultative assistance.
• Keep precise sales forecasts, pipeline activities, and performance reports.
• Track industry trends, competitive actions, and customer demands.
• Represent HID at industry conferences, customer events, and trade exhibitions.
• Conduct market research and analysis to pinpoint trends, target accounts, and unexplored opportunities.
• Propel market growth through strategic account planning and targeting high-value opportunities.
• Act as a trusted advisor by aligning HID solutions with customers' business goals, operational needs, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with teams in Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Channel Sales, and Customer Support.
• Provide market intelligence and customer insights for product development and strategic initiatives.
• Maintain expertise in physical access control, authentication, mobile credentials, and best practices in the industry.
• Assist consultants, system integrators, and industry influencers involved in the specification and deployment of security systems.
• Ensure that sales activities adhere to regulations, customer requirements, and company policies.
• Must be located in the Eastern U.S. region.
• At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the physical access control, electronic security, or related technology sectors.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in selling directly to end-user organizations and managing complex sales cycles.
• In-depth understanding of the Life Sciences industry, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, and research environments.
• Familiarity with customer purchasing processes, operational challenges, and decision-making frameworks within Life Sciences organizations.
• Solid knowledge of Physical Access Control Systems (PACS), authentication technologies, and security solutions.
• Experience in developing and presenting solution-oriented value propositions to executive and operational stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Capability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple opportunities concurrently.
• Proficient in CRM tools, pipeline management, forecasting, and sales reporting processes.
• Willingness and capacity to travel extensively throughout North America (60%+).
• Prior experience selling HID solutions or comparable physical access control technologies.
• Understanding of consultant-driven security specification processes and industry standards.
• Experience working in collaboration with channel partners, system integrators, and security consultants.
• Familiarity with HID Global’s product offerings, go-to-market strategies, and sales ecosystem.
• Established network of contacts within the Life Sciences security and facilities management sectors.
• Candidates must be currently and legally authorized to live and work in the United States.
