Employee Training Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop training programs, special projects, quality assurance initiatives, and compliance training.

• Administer proficiency tests, competency evaluations, and skills checklists.

• Engage in testing and implementation of system upgrades.

• Conduct training sessions and create course materials.

• Organize and plan both new and refresher training courses.

• Provide education and training on revenue cycle operations applications across the healthcare organization.

• Train new hires and provide retraining for current employees on revenue cycle processing and patient experience, including patient registration, schedule management, insurance eligibility, and point-of-service collections.

• Generate schedules and maintain educational tracking records for ongoing employee development.

• Coordinate on-the-job training with employees and management.

• Deliver training through lectures, demonstrations, case studies, simulations, practical experience, and interactive techniques.

• Organize training sessions alongside skill assessments and quality/productivity monitoring.

• Collaborate with IT to coordinate application testing plans.

• Work together with the Revenue Cycle Trainer to address continuing education and professional growth needs.

• Enhance employee performance capabilities and support performance management efforts.

• Monitor quality and productivity metrics.

• Participate in revenue cycle management quality audits and communicate findings and recommendations.

• Alert management to any staff training and work quality issues or concerns.

• Engage in the design of training curriculum and methods, as well as performance improvement initiatives.

• Attend courses relevant to performance improvement, system design, technical training, statistical analysis, and healthcare education.

• Support departmental goals, teamwork, committees, task forces, cross-functional groups, projects, and process enhancements.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in revenue cycle (patient financial services/patient access).

• Proven ability to create course outlines and handout materials.

• Proficient in using personal computers, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

• Understanding of adult learning principles and educational theory.

• Strong working knowledge of all patient access positions and their roles within the revenue cycle.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Capable of problem-solving and making informed decisions.

• Frequent activities including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, lifting, grasping, and feeling.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.

• Capability to sit for prolonged durations.

• Visual acuity within normal limits.

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, or a Healthcare-related field.

• Preferred: At least one (1) year of experience in Training/Organizational Development or employee training initiatives.
