This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.
• Act as the primary contact for employees and managers who report workplace issues or have questions regarding policies.
• Record initial statements, collect preliminary information, and present findings to the Senior Manager of Employee Relations.
• Immediately escalate high-risk or complex cases, such as harassment and discrimination, to senior leadership.
• Independently handle and investigate routine employee relations matters, including attendance concerns, dress code infractions, conduct issues, and basic performance disputes.
• Collaborate with managers to create and implement performance improvement plans and corrective actions.
• Keep precise, confidential, and up-to-date records of employee relations inquiries and investigations within the case management system.
• Ensure that practices align with internal policies and relevant federal, state, and local employment regulations.
• Provide guidance to employees and frontline managers regarding company policies, procedures, and fundamental HR best practices.
• Assist in the development, communication, and execution of HR policies, employee relations training, and compliance initiatives.
• Facilitate employee and manager education on workplace expectations and company policies.
• Work closely with the Senior Manager of Employee Relations to foster a positive employee experience and ensure compliance.
• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources, with a clear focus or strong interest in Employee Relations.
• Exceptional active listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong objective, analytical, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Basic knowledge of employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and FLSA, as well as standard HR compliance protocols.
• Experience using Workday or a similar HRIS is preferred.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR certification, or a willingness to pursue certification is preferred.
• Background in supporting workplace investigations and managing employee relations cases is preferred.
