This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +16 more states.
• Offer guidance, support, and recommendations concerning employee relations issues.
• Provide advice to business leaders on disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, involuntary termination assessments, and related topics.
• Carry out less complex investigations related to employee relations.
• Establish collaborative relationships with leaders, HR Business Partners, Legal, and internal teams.
• Utilize Workday and ServiceNow to aid in employee action reviews.
• Interpret policies and procedures while educating employees and stakeholders on compliance matters.
• Manage employee relations cases within the case management system and/or Ethics Hotline.
• Document and address issues in accordance with ER team procedures and practices.
• Analyze trends in employee relations and highlight areas for improvement.
• Foster a positive and transparent employee relations atmosphere.
• Assist in gathering information for legal complaints and charges.
• Act as a backup for the Employee Relations intake role.
• Undertake other responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field with 2 years of relevant experience in Human Resources and/or Employee Relations; alternatively, a master's degree with up to 2 years of experience, or 6 years of experience in a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Direct experience in supporting business leaders with employee disciplinary actions, conduct/behavior concerns, performance improvement plans, and involuntary terminations.
• Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws and strategies for union avoidance.
• Effective communication skills across all levels of employees.
• Strong coaching, facilitation, and conflict resolution capabilities.
• Proven influencing skills when advising HR Business Partners and leaders on discipline, performance improvement plans, and termination suggestions.
• Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency and effective prioritization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive situations.
• Competence in collecting, comprehending, interpreting, and disseminating data effectively.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Ability to work successfully 100% remotely, with occasional travel mainly for meetings.
• Must reside within the Eastern or Central Time Zones of the United States.
• Must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
• PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification is preferred.
• Experience with ServiceNow or other web-based case management systems is preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft CoPilot or Claude is preferred.
