Employee Benefits Onboarding & Support Specialist

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Facilitate employee onboarding and benefit education sessions via Zoom, phone, and in-person as necessary.

β€’ Assist employees in navigating the Benfa Health dashboard and the enrollment process.

β€’ Clarify the requirements for activating and maintaining access to relevant benefits.

β€’ Support employees in understanding the MSK/movement-care element, which includes assessments, personalized care plans, ongoing engagement, and clinician support.

β€’ Follow up with employees who have not finalized onboarding steps and address any enrollment obstacles.

β€’ Aid in new-hire enrollment and the ongoing activation of employees.

β€’ Describe healthcare resources such as MSK and movement support, virtual primary care, urgent care, medication/pharmacy assistance, healthcare navigation, dashboard tools, and other benefits available through the Benfa platform.

β€’ Direct clinical inquiries to the appropriate healthcare provider without dispensing medical advice.

β€’ Clarify pre-tax benefit elections, program deductions, reimbursements, and their interaction with the employer program.

β€’ Assist employees in identifying program-related items on paystubs and understanding participation criteria.

β€’ Communicate the approved program structure without offering personal tax, legal, payroll, or medical advice.

β€’ Act as the primary point of contact for employees reaching out to Benfa Health via call or email.

β€’ Respond to general program, benefit, enrollment, and dashboard inquiries.

β€’ Provide assistance with basic account access issues and onboarding or participation requirements.

β€’ Escalate payroll, eligibility, clinical, technical, or administrative concerns to the appropriate Benfa team member.

β€’ Guide employees to the relevant healthcare or benefit provider when specialized assistance is required.

β€’ Ensure that employee inquiries are addressed satisfactorily.

β€’ Carry out other related tasks as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Proficient in English (both written and spoken).

β€’ Proficient in Spanish (both written and spoken).

β€’ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

β€’ Ability to convey information professionally and effectively to clients.

β€’ Comfortable engaging with employees from diverse backgrounds.

β€’ Capable of explaining benefit and payroll concepts in a clear and simple manner.

β€’ Strong customer service orientation; patient, professional, and confident while communicating via phone and Zoom.

β€’ Willingness to learn healthcare benefit terminology and various provider programs.

β€’ Familiarity with using dashboards, email, CRM/support systems, and Zoom.

β€’ Good judgment regarding when to escalate issues rather than guessing or providing incorrect information.

β€’ Strong organizational and follow-up abilities, with the capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

β€’ Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and adhere to established processes.

β€’ Quick to learn and adapt to new systems and workflows.

β€’ Creative, resourceful, and proactive with an innovative mindset.

β€’ Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and standard business tools (Google Drive, email, spreadsheets, document management).

β€’ Ability to work during U.S. Eastern Time (New York) business hours and adjust to business needs.

β€’ Interest in long-term career advancement opportunities.

β€’ Reliable computer (Windows 10 or newer), dual monitors, and stable high-speed internet connection.

β€’ Professional home workstation suitable for uninterrupted remote work.

β€’ Preferred: experience in employee benefits, healthcare, HR, payroll, benefits enrollment, patient/member services, insurance/member support, or healthcare customer service.

β€’ Preferred: experience in conducting employee benefit orientations or enrollment meetings.

β€’ Preferred: familiarity with pre-tax employee benefits and the ability to read paystubs.

β€’ Preferred: experience supporting Spanish-speaking employee demographics.
