Employee Benefits Account Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee a designated portfolio of clients while fostering enduring relationships.

• Address daily client inquiries and furnish analytical insights.

• Collaborate with vendors and key clients both internally and externally.

• Generate client deliverables and ensure compliance with quality standards.

• Manage a personal portfolio valued at approximately $500,000 or more.

• Assist Team Leaders and/or Account Executives as required.

• Proactively deliver client services, escalating issues when necessary.

• Identify process improvements to boost client service and team productivity.

• Develop project plans and achieve service objectives with the client team.

• Prioritize and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and precise processing of account transactions.

• Prepare renewals and RFPs, coordinate vendor responses, assist in negotiations, analyze proposal outcomes in spreadsheets, and create client presentations.

• Assign administrative and analytical duties to Benefit Analysts; offer coaching and conduct peer reviews.

• Stay updated on industry news, products, legislation, coverage, and technology.

• Prepare for and lead client meetings.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Life, Accident, and Health Insurance License is mandatory.

• GBA or CEBS Certification is advantageous.

• 2 - 5+ years of experience in health & welfare, meeting most core practice competency skills.

• Experience in client-facing roles within the employee benefit sector is a plus.

• Familiarity with benefits administration, HealthCare Reform, industry trends, and carrier products and services.

• Capability to work independently and learn to anticipate the needs of clients and the team.

• Strong time management abilities.

• Meticulous follow-up skills.

• Proficient in articulating ideas clearly in both written and spoken communication.

• Strong critical thinking abilities.

• Detail-oriented approach.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
