Email Marketing Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain responsive, accessible email templates in Iterable utilizing both drag-and-drop editors and hand-coded HTML/CSS.

• Design HTML templates for direct mail campaigns, including letters, postcards, and other print materials.

• Construct reusable, modular templating systems and components within Iterable.

• Enhance emails for rapid loading times by employing efficient image compression, modern file formats, and lightweight CSS.

• Conduct audits, reviews, and quality assurance of HTML email code generated by AI/agents.

• Troubleshoot and test campaigns across Apple Mail, Gmail, Outlook, and various devices and major inboxes.

• Ensure proper display quality in dark mode and mobile formats.

• Oversee the email HTML quality assurance process prior to dispatch.

• Integrate Iterable with other marketing technology tools using APIs, webhooks, iFrames, Make, and Zapier.

• Create automations that facilitate lifecycle experiments and workarounds for the platform.

• Assist in the integration of Iterable with Circle.

• Collaborate with designers and strategists to assess design feasibility and identify rendering risks.

• Utilize UX and accessibility insights to enhance the customer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience in technical email development and marketing operations.

• Established track record in developing hand-coded, responsive HTML/CSS emails and HTML templates for direct mail (postcards, letters).

• Proficient experience with Iterable or a similar Email Service Provider (ESP) such as Braze, Klaviyo, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

• Strong comprehension of when to utilize drag-and-drop tools versus full HTML coding.

• Proven ability to develop modular, reusable email template systems and component libraries for multi-touch campaigns.

• Extensive knowledge of cross-client rendering, dark mode optimization, mobile responsiveness, and email accessibility standards (WCAG).

• Comfortable working with Make, Zapier, APIs, and webhooks.

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript for scripting and logic is an advantage.

• Access to a personal computer with a reliable internet connection that supports necessary tools and applications.

• Flexible availability until at least 2:00 PM Eastern Time for meetings and collaboration with the US-based team.
