Email Deliverability Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver consulting services focused on email deliverability for both new and existing Iterable clients.

• Inform customers about email marketing best practices while offering support on deliverability.

• Track customer performance utilizing internal metrics alongside third-party delivery tools.

• Ensure a seamless product experience for customers and enhance their return on investment.

• Collaborate with the Support team to assess tickets, identify trends, and address potential issues.

• Guarantee high-level email campaign deliverability for enterprise clients.

• Monitor client satisfaction and implement strategies aimed at retention and growth.

• Compile delivery data for account assessments and Email Deliverability Reports.

• Alert customers regarding potential issues and offer strategies for reputation management.

• Identify and rectify email delivery challenges with ISPs and mailbox providers.

• Foster relationships through MAAWG.

• Maintain trusted-advisor status with assigned clients.

• Contribute to Iterable's blogs and webinars focused on Email Deliverability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

• 2 to 4 years of experience in email deliverability consulting or support.

• At least 2 years in a B2B customer-facing role within a high-tech, SaaS environment.

• Proficiency with third-party delivery tools such as Validity Everest, eDataSource, Google Postmaster Tools, Microsoft SNDS, etc.

• Strong technical aptitude is essential.

• Knowledgeable about ISP/domain-specific delivery policies, block mitigation, and feedback loops with ISPs.

• Expertise in best practices for bulk email sending, list management, and reducing blocklist/spam issues.

• Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end email delivery processes (IP addresses, DNS, SMTP, authentication, etc.).

• Familiarity with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and anti-spam legislation.

• Exceptional communication skills and a genuine desire to assist customers.

• Previous experience with Mail Transfer Agent (MTA) platforms such as SparkPost, Mailgun, SendGrid, etc.

• Bonus: Experience in email marketing, email compliance, push notifications, and/or SMS software is a plus.
