Electrical Engineering Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in owner’s engineer roles for large-scale power generation projects.

• Create and/or assess EPC RFP packages along with relevant technical specifications.

• Analyze EPC proposals to aid in the selection of preferred EPC contractors.

• Offer technical support throughout EPC contract negotiations.

• Draft or review specifications for primary power transformers, switchgear, and other electrical apparatus.

• Evaluate and provide technical feedback on electrical engineering design drawing packages and supporting calculations from EPC contractors.

• Contribute to the design of simple- and combined-cycle electrical systems.

• Work on renewable low-voltage DC and AC system designs.

• Develop AC collection systems for solar energy and battery storage.

• Design collector substations and oversee interconnecting substation expansions.

• Manage gen-tie transmission project initiatives.

• Engage directly with power plant developers, owners, lenders, and investors during consulting assignments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

• Over 8 years of experience in electrical engineering design for utility-scale power/storage projects.

• Experience in power projects as part of an EPC team or as an Owner’s Engineer is advantageous.

• Background in auxiliary power system design; experience in thermal power generation, particularly gas-fired combined cycle, is a plus.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a talent for collaboration and guidance.
