Electrical Engineer, Project Manager – Smart Grid Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee, organize, and implement strategic IT initiatives within the smart grid industry, from commissioning to go-live.

• Manage both internal and external stakeholders while coordinating all phases of the project.

• Track timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.

• Facilitate the integration of Venios.NET into current IT infrastructures.

• Collaborate with development teams, customer departments, and external service providers.

• Assist in testing and the deployment of new features.

• Recognize project risks and devise appropriate mitigation strategies.

• Understand customer requirements and contribute suggestions for the ongoing enhancement of Venios.NET.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field with proven expertise in electrical engineering.

• Familiarity with technical guidelines, regulations, and contractual agreements.

• Several years of experience in project management within software implementation projects, preferably in the energy sector.

• IPMA certification (or equivalent) in project management is preferred, or a willingness to pursue it.

• Extensive experience in the construction and operation of electrical distribution networks is beneficial.

• Strong IT acumen and a passion for software development.

• Empathetic, audience-focused communication skills with the ability to handle conflicts effectively.

• A structured, analytical, and goal-driven work approach.

• Proactive mindset, resilience, and solution-focused thinking.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

• Proficient in English and excellent command of the German language.

• Valid residence and/or work authorization in Germany or Austria.
