Electrical Engineer, PE III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise and manage electrical engineering tasks for projects in accordance with engineering best practices, company policies, and the National Electrical Code.

• Aid the Project Manager with project budgets, execution strategies, cost assessments, and timelines.

• Carry out electrical engineering activities within the established budget, schedule, and quality standards.

• Generate study reports, drawings, and specifications that may require official stamping and signing.

• Create Addendums, Proposal Requests (PR), and Supplemental Instructions (SI).

• Mentor and offer technical guidance to Electrical Engineers, Designers, and BIM/CAD Technicians.

• Participate in client meetings and document meeting notes.

• Facilitate electrical engineering communications among project teams, clients, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).

• Collaborate on design solutions with other technical disciplines.

• Assist in quality assurance reviews across various project disciplines.

• Conduct site visits to assess, survey, and document existing conditions.

• Develop, sustain, and endorse electrical engineering standards, tools, processes, and procedures.

• Provide technical leadership to electrical engineers and designers throughout the organization.

• Offer mentoring and career development assistance.

• Enhance the Company brand through exemplary work execution and positive client interactions.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by Company Leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.

• Professional Engineering (PE) license.

• A minimum of ten years of experience following the award of the PE license.

• Experience in designing large commercial projects.

• Proficient understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

• Capability to lead intricate electrical engineering design projects.

• Experience in designing Healthcare projects.

• Experience in designing Higher Education projects.

• Experience in designing Central Energy Plant (CEP) electrical infrastructure projects.

• Experience in designing medium voltage protection and power distribution systems.

• Experience in designing paralleled generator systems at medium voltage and below.

• Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation capabilities.

• Clean driving record.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple ongoing projects in a dynamic environment.

• Knowledge of the industry and competitors.

• Willingness and capability to perform tasks outside the defined scope of work when necessary.

• Ability to travel 20–25% of the time to various job sites/offices.

• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, climb stairs, work at a computer, and perform repetitive hand/wrist/finger motions.

• Ability to adjust or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
