Electrical Engineer, PE III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage electrical engineering efforts for projects in line with engineering best practices, organizational standards, and the National Electrical Code.

• Support the Project Manager in project budgeting, execution strategies, construction cost estimations, and timelines.

• Deliver electrical engineering tasks within the established budget, schedule, and quality parameters.

• Create study reports, drawings, and specifications that may require stamping and signing.

• Draft Addendums, Proposal Requests (PR), and Supplemental Instructions (SI).

• Guide and provide technical mentorship to Electrical Engineers, Designers, and BIM/CAD Technicians.

• Participate in client meetings and take detailed meeting notes.

• Facilitate electrical engineering communication between project teams, clients, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction.

• Collaborate on design solutions with other technical disciplines.

• Assist in quality assurance reviews across various project disciplines.

• Conduct site visits to assess, survey, and document existing conditions.

• Develop, uphold, and approve electrical engineering design standards, tools, processes, and procedures.

• Offer technical leadership for electrical engineers and designers throughout the organization.

• Provide mentoring and support for career development.

• Enhance the Company brand through exemplary work execution and positive client interactions.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by Company Leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.

• Professional Engineering (PE) license.

• A minimum of ten years’ experience after obtaining the PE license.

• Proven experience in designing large-scale commercial projects.

• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

• Capacity to lead teams in executing intricate electrical engineering design projects.

• Experience in designing Healthcare-related projects.

• Experience in designing Higher Education facilities.

• Background in designing Central Energy Plant (CEP) electrical infrastructure projects.

• Expertise in designing medium voltage protection and power distribution systems.

• Experience in designing paralleled generator systems at medium voltage and lower.

• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation abilities.

• Clean driving record.

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

• Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Well-informed about the industry and the Company’s competitors.

• Excellent multitasking abilities, with the flexibility to perform tasks beyond the typical scope of work when required.

• Willingness to travel 20–25% of the time to job sites or office locations.

• Ability to work at a desk and on a computer for extended durations.

• Capability to climb stairs, kneel, stand, or sit for prolonged periods.

• Ability to perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions.

• Capacity to adjust or move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
