Electrical Engineer – Overhead Line Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Develop engineering specifications and technical documentation for Overhead Lines up to 420 kV.

• Conduct calculations involving sag and tension, loads, earthing, and lightning protection.

• Create Bills of Materials and Bills of Quantities.

• Execute Building Design tasks, including obtaining the Building Permit and producing Detailed Design.

• Facilitate multidisciplinary collaboration and coordination.

• Lead technical reviews and establish agreements with clients and suppliers.

• Provide consulting services and expert advice to clients and customers.

• Assist in enhancing Overhead Lines services to achieve higher technical standards.

• Work alongside power system engineers to deliver solutions for Distribution System Operators (DSOs), Transmission System Operators (TSOs), and renewable energy developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD or M.Sc. in electrical engineering or equivalent qualification.

• In-depth expertise in Overhead Lines.

• Proficiency in PLS-CADD and QGIS.

• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to expand your professional network.
