Electrical Engineer – Overhead Line Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.

📋 Description

• Develop engineering specifications and technical documentation for Overhead Lines up to 420 kV.

• Conduct calculations involving sag and tension, loads, earthing, and lightning protection.

• Create Bills of Materials and Bills of Quantities.

• Formulate Building Design, which includes securing the Building Permit and Detailed Design.

• Encourage multidisciplinary collaboration and coordination.

• Facilitate technical reviews and agreements with clients and suppliers.

• Provide consulting services and guidance to clients and customers.

• Assist in shaping the strategy for the Power Systems Department.

• Offer power system engineering consultancy solutions for Distribution System Operators (DSOs), Transmission System Operators (TSOs), and renewable energy developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD or M.Sc. in electrical engineering or a related field.

• In-depth knowledge of Overhead Lines.

• Familiarity with PLS-CADD and QGIS.

• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and enhance your professional network.

• Comfortable taking ownership of scope, making assumptions, and making decisions in collaboration with clients.
