Electrical Engineer – Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design and create control systems tailored for automation, semiconductor, and industrial process applications.

• Work in collaboration with engineers and technicians to ensure project completion within set timelines and budgets.

• Perform arc flash analyses to identify potential hazards within electrical systems.

• Compute incident energy levels at various locations within electrical systems.

• Identify arc flash boundaries and categorize hazard risks.

• Document findings, produce one-line diagrams, and maintain records of arc flash studies.

• Assist in the installation of equipment and systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency with CAD or power study software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, or Microsoft Office.

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or another engineering discipline, or a comparable combination of education and experience is strongly preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of industrial experience is preferred.

• Experience in Power and Controls is preferred.

• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, layouts, and grid plans for pump stations and compressor facilities.

• Willingness to learn how to develop efficient and safe electrical diagrams.

• Commitment to safety and the ability to contribute to a safety-oriented team.

• Industrial experience in sectors such as semiconductor, oil and gas, utilities, agriculture, metals, mining, paper, data centers, health care, or food and beverage is preferred.

• Must be adaptable and willing to undertake out-of-town assignments with occasional overnight travel.

• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, standing for prolonged periods, and driving regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Must be able to successfully pass a fit-for-duty physical examination when required.

• Must clear pre-employment and random periodic drug tests.

• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background investigation.

• Must possess a valid driver's license and uphold a clean driving record.

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without requiring employer-sponsored visa support.

• Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English fluently.
