This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Create fire alarm systems tailored for hyperscale data centers and other critical facilities
β’ Collaborate with senior design professionals to enhance fire alarm system design capabilities
β’ Generate construction documents related to electrical engineering and fire alarm systems
β’ Design air-sampling smoke detection systems, including VESDA technology
β’ Develop and revise project specifications
β’ Carry out engineering tasks, including fire alarm design work, computations, and system analysis
β’ Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to create drawings and coordinate with other engineering disciplines
β’ Specify components of fire alarm systems to safeguard mission-critical environments
β’ Assess existing building conditions and compile technical reports
β’ Gather data and create project design and construction documentation
β’ Support pre-construction tasks and writing of specifications
β’ Review shop drawings and submissions
β’ Analyze and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs)
β’ Complete punch lists and project closure documentation
β’ Prepare project progress reports for both internal and external stakeholders
β’ Update and manage shop drawing and RFI logs
β’ Track personal hours using company-provided tools
β’ Utilize AI and digital tools to enhance efficiency and workflows
β’ Complete assigned tasks and deliverables within specified timelines and budgets
β’ May take on the role of trade lead for routine projects of limited scope
β’ Maintain close interaction with the Project Management Team and communicate with clients
β’ Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program
β’ Strong understanding of engineering principles
β’ At least three years of experience in electrical engineering or fire alarm design
β’ Knowledge of building electrical systems, basic circuit design, and life safety systems
β’ Familiarity with NFPA 72, National Electric Code, Life Safety Code, and relevant Building Codes
β’ Intermediate level of proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
β’ Capability to conduct fire alarm code analysis, equipment selection, and wiring design
β’ Ability to utilize AI and new technologies effectively
β’ Experience working successfully in a remote work environment
β’ Commitment to adhering to company and site safety protocols
β’ Skill in analyzing and preparing documents, reports, and correspondence
β’ Strong oral and written communication abilities
β’ Capability to communicate directly with clients
β’ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with moderate supervision
β’ Capacity to operate effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
β’ Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
β’ Willingness to travel approximately 10% to client sites and for other business activities across the United States
