This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia, +5 more countries.
• Design and manage MEP systems for upscale villas and hotels, ensuring adherence to local building regulations and high-end industry benchmarks.
• Work in partnership with architects, interior designers, and other engineers to integrate systems seamlessly within the overall project framework.
• Engage in spatial coordination with architectural and structural models, and investigate efficient methodologies, equipment, and systems.
• Address technical challenges and issues that arise during the design process.
• Lead the creation of technical drawings and specifications using CAD and Revit, with support from BIM modelers.
• Conduct load calculations, energy modeling, and system sizing.
• Supervise equipment selection in accordance with project demands and sustainability objectives.
• Contribute insights during value engineering discussions.
• Oversee design development and review, approving deliverables from third-party designers, consultants, and surveyors.
• Keep abreast of technologies, trends, and regulations related to power supply and distribution systems in the luxury and hospitality sectors.
• Operate independently while coordinating with the team as necessary, delivering weekly intermediate results.
• Report to the MEP design manager and collaborate with architects, interior designers, structural engineers, FF&E procurement, and client representatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Building Engineering, with an emphasis on electrical systems, power supply, and generation.
• 5 to 10 years of engineering design experience in a design consultancy or general contracting environment.
• Proven experience in high-end hospitality projects, including five-star hotels and luxury private villas.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Spanish language skills (desirable).
• Experience with international hotel brands (e.g., W, Four Seasons, AMAN) and familiarity with their specific corporate design guidelines (desirable).
