Electrical Design Engineer EPLAN – all genders

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Responsible for the design and engineering of circuit diagrams (electrical schematics) based on customer requirements.

• Conduct reviews of technical specifications and analyze requirement documents for implementation in customer projects.

• Generate reports and documentation, including layout drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and terminal and cable lists.

• Revise circuit diagrams and manage the constructive processing and maintenance of existing customer orders.

• Select, size, and specify electrical equipment as needed.

• Maintain and create item master data, master records, bills of materials, drawings, and layouts.

• Analyze customer requirements and evaluate their feasibility.

• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations in electrical design through thorough checks.

• Provide support to other departments regarding electrical engineering inquiries.

• Participate in hazard analyses and risk assessments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or completed electrical vocational training with further qualifications as a technician, or an equivalent qualification.

• Ideally possess initial professional experience in electrical engineering.

• Strong knowledge of relevant standards.

• Familiarity with machinery directives (Machinery Directive).

• Experience with ECAD systems such as EPLAN P8, EPLAN Fluid, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or Beckhoff TwinCAT.

• Proficient user of common MS Office applications.

• Experience with SAP or similar PLM systems.

• Knowledge of DIN EN 61355.

• Excellent German language skills.

• Good command of the English language.
