This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and mentor a team of eLearning developers, managing project assignments, workload, and quality of deliverables
• Provide technical guidance on intricate builds involving HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including custom interactions, responsive design, and cross-platform compatibility
• Direct development efforts in Storyline and other authoring tools as necessary, ensuring that builds align with technical standards and best practices
• Advocate for the adoption of AI coding tools and workflows to enhance development speed, consistency, and code quality across the team
• Set and uphold coding standards, quality assurance processes, and best practices for custom development tasks
• Diagnose and resolve advanced technical issues escalated from the development team
• Work in collaboration with Instructional Design, UI/UX, and Project Management to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with timelines
• Assess new tools, frameworks, and AI-assisted development platforms to keep the team's practices up-to-date
• Assist in hiring, onboarding, and skill enhancement for developers on the team
• 5+ years of practical front-end development experience; portfolio or work samples showcasing expertise in HTML/CSS/JS and visual design sensibility
• Formal education in a relevant field is an advantage but not mandatory
• 2+ years in a development management or team lead capacity, preferably within the eLearning or related digital production sectors
• Mastery of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Strong visual design acumen and attention to UI detail
• Proven experience utilizing AI coding tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) to accelerate development and output
• Comprehensive understanding of eLearning development standards, including responsive design and accessibility
• Capability to review code and offer technical mentorship to developers with varying skill levels
• Exceptional communication skills — proficient in translating technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and contemporary development workflows
• Knowledge of SCORM & xAPI (Tin Can)
• Preferred experience in custom eLearning development for enterprise or corporate clients
• Experience with coding frameworks such as Node/React or similar
