This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, develop, and execute high-quality Career Technical Education courses that are in line with national standards, recognized industry credentials, and workforce requirements.
• Design CTE course syllabi, scope and sequences, unit plans, and assessments that meet state and federal standards.
• Incorporate industry credentials and College Credit Plus (CCP) into course offerings.
• Ensure that courses are aligned with labor market demands.
• Construct lesson plans, digital modules, assessments, projects, and labs.
• Develop resources compatible with Canvas or other LMS platforms utilizing multimedia, interactive tools, and project-based learning methodologies.
• Produce teacher guides, pacing guides, and resources for professional learning.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, educators, and administrators to guarantee technical accuracy and instructional excellence.
• Adhere to accessibility standards and best practices for online learning.
• Gather and analyze feedback from teachers, students, and administrators.
• Revise and enhance course content based on student performance data and industry advancements.
• Remain updated on trends in CTE, technology, and workforce requirements.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or teaching, particularly in CTE or career pathways.
• Strong preference for familiarity with Ohio CTE standards, Perkins V requirements, and integration of industry credentials.
• Proficient in LMS platforms (such as Canvas, Google Classroom, etc.) and digital content creation tools.
• Excellent project management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple builds over a 2–3 year timeline.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and writing skills.
• Knowledge of accessibility, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and best practices in online and blended education.
• Previous experience in designing CTE courses in Business, IT, Health, Construction, Aviation, or Education pathways is preferred.
• Prior experience supporting teachers in the effective implementation of curriculum is preferred.
• Ability to weave real-world projects, work-based learning, and industry credentials into courses is preferred.
• Work is limited to a maximum of 40 hours per week unless otherwise authorized.
• Competitive hourly rate ranging from $30.00 to $35.00.
• Full-time contractor role for a minimum duration of 2 years, with the possibility of extension if necessary.
