This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Taiwan.
• Oversee daily EHS operations on construction project sites, which encompass new installations, rehabilitation, and EPC/turnkey scopes.
• Lead and nurture a small team of on-site EHS professionals, making staffing decisions, fostering performance development, and mentoring less experienced team members.
• Champion the execution of Permit to Work (PTW) and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs.
• Ensure adherence to GE Vernova standards and comply with local regulatory requirements.
• Engage with and influence Project Directors, Site Managers, consortium partners, and subcontractors to foster a culture of high-performance safety.
• Monitor and report EHS performance utilizing corporate digital reporting tools.
• Identify issues proactively, suggest practical solutions, highlight risks, and drive corrective actions.
• Ensure that work aligns with national legislation, GE Vernova corporate EHS policy, and international standards.
• A formal education culminating in a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical), EHS Management, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in EHS and/or construction project safety management; equivalent experience will be evaluated during the interview process.
• Valid Occupational Safety and Health Manager (Class B or higher) certification, as mandated by Taiwan regulatory authorities.
• NEBOSH / IOSH qualification, or a local legislative equivalent.
• In-depth electrical safety knowledge and hands-on experience with PTW and LOTO systems.
• Proficient in both English and Chinese (Mandarin), both written and spoken.
• Willingness to work night shifts as necessitated by project timelines.
• Previous experience on Taiwan Power Company projects is preferred.
• Background in power plant and/or oil & gas construction settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with GE Vernova or similar corporate EHS digital reporting platforms is preferred.
