This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and enhance the vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap for EDI products.
• Develop business cases, success metrics, and ROI analyses to inform prioritization and investment decisions.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, CMS/state requirements, and interoperability standards such as X12, APIs, and FHIR.
• Convert business, regulatory, and integration needs into user stories and technical specifications.
• Establish data mapping, validation business rules, error handling flows, and downstream integration points.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, QA, and DevOps teams on solution design, technical feasibility, and deployment processes.
• Manage and prioritize the EDI product backlog.
• Facilitate sprint planning, feature readiness, and release coordination.
• Identify and eliminate obstacles hindering engineering throughput or trading partner readiness.
• Align technical teams, trading partners, clearinghouses, and internal business units.
• Lead discovery sessions, refinement cycles, data exchange walkthroughs, and post-implementation evaluations.
• Enhance partner usability and operational efficiency through system improvements, automation, and monitoring.
• Analyze transaction performance, defect trends, operational SLAs, and platform telemetry.
• Define and monitor KPIs/OKRs such as transaction throughput, first-pass acceptance rate, error volume, partner onboarding speed, and system reliability.
• Promote continuous improvement in observability, error reconciliation, and data integrity.
• Maintain comprehensive product documentation, functional requirements, user guides, and integration specifications.
• Contribute to the establishment of technical standards, EDI governance frameworks, and best practices for onboarding, testing, and release.
• Ensure that solutions adhere to HIPAA, state Medicaid requirements, data privacy standards, and CareSource security guidelines.
• Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required.
• Equivalent years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the required education.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in product management or a related field is required.
• A solid understanding of EDI technologies and integration platforms is essential.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product development life cycles is expected.
• Proficiency in software development or engineering is required.
• Understanding of the healthcare industry and its ecosystem, including future developments, is important.
• Extensive knowledge of industry-relevant interoperability standards is necessary.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving technologies and market conditions is necessary.
• An innovative mindset focused on enhancing capabilities and interoperability is vital.
• Knowledge of AI technologies, machine learning models, and ethical considerations in AI deployment is preferred.
• Certifications in core technical systems such as Edifecs, Facets, Cloud, AI, or similar enterprise systems are advantageous.
• Certifications in Agile, SAFE, or roles related to Business or Product Ownership are preferred.
