EDI Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Manage support and consulting inquiries from our partners regarding EDI and EAI topics independently.

• Evaluate business and technical requirements, determine feasibility, and implement appropriate EDI solutions.

• Develop both standardized and tailored EDI processes and interfaces for stakeholders in transport logistics, warehousing logistics, and internal systems.

• Independently oversee, organize, and execute EDI projects, with a focus on onboarding new EDI partners and interfaces.

• Configure, perform, and document tests, as well as support commissioning and go-live phases.

• Create and maintain mappings and conversions within the EDI converter.

• Investigate and resolve incidents and errors in ongoing EDI operations.

• Enhance existing EDI processes and interfaces.

• Collaborate closely with business departments, internal IT teams, and business partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed IT training, such as vocational training as an IT specialist, a degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in EDI.

• Professional experience in an EDI setting, along with experience in planning and executing EDI projects.

• In-depth knowledge of converting and processing various message and data formats, especially EDIFACT (e.g., ORDERS, DESADV, IFTMIN, and IFCSUM), XML, SAP IDoc and SAP XML, CSV, and JSON.

• Solid understanding of technical communication methods and interfaces, such as AS2, SFTP, HTTP, and APIs.

• Experience in developing mappings with an EDI converter; familiarity with Lobster_data is a plus.

• Strong SQL knowledge and experience working with databases.

• Programming experience in Java development is advantageous.

• Analytical and structured work approach, coupled with effective problem-solving skills.

• Confident and personable demeanor when interacting directly with our partners.

• Fluent in German and proficient in written and spoken English.
