This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Create and implement a regional sales strategy that aligns with the company's objectives for revenue, growth, and market development.
• Formulate annual and quarterly sales plans in collaboration with agency partners, establishing measurable goals.
• Keep communication open regarding progress, opportunities, and potential risks.
• Analyze agency dashboards, CRM data, pipeline activities, forecasts, and key performance indicators.
• Build and enhance relationships with agents, specifiers, electrical engineers, architects, distributors, contractors, national accounts, and other industry stakeholders.
• Identify coverage gaps and undertake the recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and development of new agents.
• Assist agents and customers through collaborative sales calls, design discussions, presentations, product demonstrations, project meetings, and site visits.
• Provide ongoing education, product training, and market-focused presentations.
• Identify and promote project opportunities from specification to order.
• Coordinate internal resources to address commercial and technical challenges.
• Keep track of competitor activities, local market conditions, customer insights, and industry trends.
• Relay actionable insights to sales, marketing, product, and support teams.
• Represent Casambi at trade shows, industry events, partner meetings, and professional associations.
• Maintain precise records of accounts, contacts, projects, activities, forecasts, and next steps within HubSpot and other company systems.
• Oversee regional resources, travel arrangements, expense management, and opportunity prioritization.
• As the region expands, recruit, mentor, coach, and develop two to three Regional Sales Managers.
• Conduct company business using authorized company devices, systems, and software.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• A minimum of seven years of progressive experience in lighting, lighting controls, electrical supply, electrical design, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated success in outside sales across agency, specification, distribution, contractor, or OEM channels.
• Capability to develop territory plans, manage a sales pipeline, forecast accurately, and leverage performance data to enhance outcomes.
• Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, written communication, presentation, and public-speaking abilities.
• Highly organized, self-driven, and adept at working independently in a remote, fast-paced setting.
• Strong judgment, executive presence, and the capacity to juggle multiple priorities while collaborating across functions.
• Proficient in CRM platforms and Microsoft 365 applications; experience with HubSpot is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and passport, with the ability to travel frequently throughout the territory and occasionally to national meetings and events.
• Established connections with lighting agents, electrical engineers, architects, designers, distributors, contractors, or related partners in Eastern North America are preferred.
• Familiarity with the lighting-industry go-to-market model, project lifecycle, channel structure, and competitive landscape.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, lighting plans, specifications, and related project documents; experience with Bluebeam or similar software is preferred.
• Knowledge of lighting-control protocols, ecosystems, system design, commissioning, and connected-building technologies is highly preferred.
• Experience in supporting wireless, wired, or hybrid lighting-control solutions is an advantage.
