This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the lead architect responsible for designing applications that are secure, scalable, and reliable.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, refinement, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Provide guidance to development teams on technical implementation, secure coding practices, and contemporary engineering methodologies.
• Convert product requirements into actionable technical tasks and user stories that align with architecture.
• Supervise code quality, design fidelity, integration patterns, and API interaction models.
• Ensure that the application architecture adheres to DoD cybersecurity standards and secure development protocols.
• Collaborate with cloud and infrastructure teams to assist with deployment strategies, CI/CD workflows, and operational readiness.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis for complex defects or system behavior issues.
• Mentor developers, enhance engineering maturity, and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and artifacts related to release readiness.
• Provide leadership and coordination across engineering, product management, UX, cybersecurity, and testing teams.
• Must possess an active Secret clearance, validated by a Tier 3 background investigation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in software development, architecture, or engineering leadership roles.
• Proven experience as a technical lead or Scrum Master within Agile software development teams.
• Demonstrated experience in architecting secure, scalable, enterprise-grade applications.
• Familiarity with supporting cloud-hosted systems, preferably AWS GovCloud.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in engineering, UX, and cybersecurity.
• Strong grasp of Agile development methodologies, secure coding, and DevSecOps practices.
• Knowledge of enterprise software architecture, API design, and integration methodologies.
• Understanding of DoD cybersecurity standards, coding protocols, and configuration guidelines.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and readiness of environments.
• CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
• Experience with containerized architectures or microservices.
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks, backend programming languages, or full-stack development.
• Familiarity with tools for monitoring, logging, and performance optimization.
• Exceptional leadership and facilitation abilities.
• Strong communication and coordination skills across both technical and non-technical teams.
• Excellent architectural decision-making and technical problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to secure, high-quality engineering practices.
• Ability to enhance Agile maturity and ensure predictable software delivery.
