Dynamics 365 Technical Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take full responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain solutions, covering architecture, design, implementation, deployment, and user adoption.

• Act as the technical authority for Dynamics 365 implementations, ensuring accountability for the success of the solution.

• Establish and oversee customization and extension strategies that adhere to Microsoft best practices and the One Version update requirements.

• Design, clarify, and troubleshoot integrations between Dynamics 365 and external systems utilizing Azure integration services.

• Create and uphold Azure, ALM, and DevOps practices, which include environment strategy, CI/CD pipelines, release governance, and secure production code promotion.

• Convert business and functional requirements into scalable, maintainable technical designs.

• Develop solutions that focus on testing, monitoring, operability, and long-term maintainability.

• Assume responsibility for production outcomes and ensure long-term solution stability beyond the go-live phase.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations / Finance & Supply Chain workloads.

• Demonstrated ownership of the design, implementation, deployment, and adoption of Dynamics 365 solutions.

• Experience in delivering multiple full-cycle Dynamics implementations.

• Capability to review, prototype, and evaluate custom code.

• Proficient knowledge of X++ (particularly for Finance & Operations).

• Understanding of .NET / C#.

• Familiarity with JavaScript, plugins, and workflows.

• Strong grasp of extension models and customization limits.

• Experience in designing, defending, and troubleshooting enterprise integration patterns.

• Hands-on experience with REST / SOAP APIs, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, and Dataverse / Dual-write scenarios.

• Background in data migration and cross-environment data flow strategies.

• Basic understanding of operational applications in SaaS platforms like ServiceNow and/or SFS.

• Practical, hands-on experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and cloud governance.

• Experience in defining DEV / TEST / UAT / PROD environmental strategies.

• Proficient with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and source control strategies.

• Experience utilizing Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS) for monitoring, release governance, and production support.

• Understanding of rollback strategies and deployment cadence.

• Strong knowledge of finance, supply chain, warehouse, and customer engagement business processes.

• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs.

• Knowledge of testing strategies, including edge cases and integration testing.

• Experience in designing for monitoring, alerting, and failure visibility.

• BA/BS degree and typically 8+ years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Preferred: Microsoft MB-700: Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Solution Architect certification.

• Preferred: Experience with large-scale or enterprise Dynamics 365 implementations.
