Dutch Sports Localization Specialist – Football

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Review, localize, fact-check, translate, and adapt content related to sports, primarily focusing on football, while following established writing style guides and standards.

• Conduct research specific to the market regarding local content, product trends, terminology, and the best practices for localization for the intended audience.

• Provide constructive feedback on written materials.

• Perform assessments related to grammar and subject-matter expertise as part of the project.

⛳️ Requirements

• A BS/BA degree and/or over 2 years of professional experience in the fields of linguistics, sports journalism, copywriting, or copy-editing.

• In-depth knowledge of sports, with an emphasis on football.

• Experience in the translation and localization of multimedia content, ideally including machine translation and evaluation.

• Native-level proficiency in Dutch.

• Outstanding grammar and writing capabilities in Dutch.

• Strong skills in creative writing, proofreading, and editing in Dutch.

• Solid practical knowledge of computers, mobile devices, word processors, and spreadsheets.

• Possess a licensed version of MS Office applications.

• Ability to work autonomously and remotely.
