This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Attract and qualify professional truck drivers, with a focus on owner-operators and those experienced in intermodal container operations.
• Develop and implement recruiting strategies tailored to specific markets.
• Oversee the applicant pipeline and manage the full-cycle recruiting process from sourcing to onboarding.
• Source, evaluate, interview candidates, generate reports, request necessary documentation, and schedule drug screenings.
• Utilize Tenstreet and other platforms for tracking, processing, and qualifying candidates.
• Leverage social media, advertising, and recruitment events to increase driver leads and applications.
• Maintain awareness of competitor pay structures, industry trends, and recruiting strategies.
• Collaborate with Terminal Managers and Operations to ensure alignment between hiring practices, pay structures, capacity requirements, and retention objectives.
• Monitor onboarding trends and identify opportunities for process enhancements.
• Ensure adherence to FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Provide timely, clear, and professional communication to candidates.
• Promote company culture, support retention initiatives, and act as a recruiting resource for operations staff.
• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory; college coursework is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in truck driver recruiting is required, with a strong preference for experience in owner-operator recruiting.
• At least 6 months of experience with Tenstreet is required.
• Previous experience in the intermodal/drayage or transportation sectors is preferred.
• Strong understanding of FMCSA, DOT, and driver qualification standards.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and recruiting platforms such as Tenstreet.
• An independent thinker with problem-solving capabilities and a strong commitment to follow-through.
• Ability to foster strong relationships with candidates, operations staff, and leadership.
