This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.
• Create and implement recruiting strategies tailored to the market to ensure a strong pool of qualified drivers.
• Oversee the entire recruitment process, which includes sourcing, screening, interviewing, generating reports, requesting necessary documentation, and arranging drug screenings.
• Utilize Tenstreet and various other platforms to monitor, process, and evaluate candidates.
• Employ social media, advertising, and recruitment events to broaden driver leads and applications.
• Maintain comprehensive market knowledge, encompassing competitor pay structures, industry trends, and recruitment strategies.
• Collaborate with Terminal Managers and Operations to synchronize hiring with pay structures, capacity requirements, and retention objectives.
• Track onboarding trends by market and pinpoint opportunities for process enhancements.
• Ensure adherence to FMCSA and DOT regulations throughout the qualification and hiring process.
• Provide a positive experience for candidates through timely communication, transparency, and professionalism.
• Advocate for company culture, support retention initiatives, and act as a recruiting resource for operations staff.
• A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory; college coursework is a plus.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in truck driver recruiting is essential.
• Experience in owner-operator recruiting is highly preferred.
• At least 6 months of experience with Tenstreet is required.
• Previous experience in intermodal/drayage or the transportation industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of FMCSA, DOT, and driver qualification standards is necessary.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and recruiting platforms like Tenstreet is required.
• Must be an independent thinker with problem-solving capabilities and a strong follow-through.
• Capacity to foster strong relationships with candidates, operations staff, and leadership is essential.
