Donor Engagement Specialist, Gulf Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Afghanistan.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the execution and delivery of the Gulf Engagement Strategy.

• Cultivate and manage relationships with donors in the Gulf region.

• Enhance pipeline development and pinpoint funding opportunities within the Gulf market.

• Facilitate donor engagement across WCAF, Members, and country teams.

• Leverage donor intelligence, market insights, and trend analysis to guide engagement strategies.

• Supervise Gulf funding prospects and coordinate the development of proposals.

• Align internal stakeholders and partnerships across various teams.

• Design partnership models tailored to the Gulf context.

• Ensure the effective use of systems for tracking and reporting Gulf opportunities.

• Represent War Child at external engagements, networks, and forums focused on the Gulf.

• Serve as the primary strategic contact for Gulf donor engagement.

• Lead market development and broaden War Child’s presence among key donors and partners.

• Formulate partnership strategies with foundations, government-linked entities, and regional stakeholders.

• Propel early-stage opportunity positioning and relationship building.

• Advance Gulf opportunities into substantial funding results.

⛳️ Requirements

• A relevant degree in international development, public policy, business administration, or a related field.

• Experience in administrative support, program coordination, or research within an NGO.

• Background in development or humanitarian settings.

• Familiarity with donor engagement and grant management is preferred.

• Proficient in English.

• Fluency in French or another relevant language is advantageous.

• Understanding of institutional donor systems (both multilateral and bilateral).

• Awareness of trends in the aid sector.

• Knowledge of project management tools.

• Familiarity with CRM systems, such as Salesforce.

• Preference for candidates residing in an operating country with valid work permits.

• Ability to provide a Criminal Record Certificate.

• Compliance with and readiness to sign the Child Safeguarding policy, Code of Conduct, and PSEA: Adults at Risk Policy.
