Doctoral School Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.

📋 Description

• Design and execute a forward-thinking educational curriculum that includes career advancement support for emerging researchers.

• Collaborate with the Head of Scientific Training, the school director, student representatives, and faculty members.

• Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process for doctoral candidates.

• Evaluate the quality of PhD training programs.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to PhD students throughout their academic journey.

• Organize and facilitate events, retreats, and symposia for doctoral candidates.

• Assist with local and international marketing and outreach efforts to enhance program visibility.

• Administer the budget and financial aspects of doctoral school initiatives.

• Contribute to projects related to doctoral education.

• Coordinate recruitment, educational, and outreach initiatives within the life sciences program.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD in Life Sciences, preferably in molecular biology or a closely related discipline.

• Proven experience in program coordination and/or project management within a dynamic and multicultural setting, ideally in Life Sciences.

• In-depth knowledge of competitive recruitment processes.

• Fluency in English.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Capacity to take initiative and assume responsibility.

• Empathetic demeanor.

• Creative and adaptable mindset.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

• Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
