
Division Vice President – Retirement Sales

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Lead the distribution of retirement plan sales for partners and platforms.
• Formulate the annual strategic budget and align resources to meet revenue goals.
• Create and implement national sales strategies and yearly revenue targets.
• Hold the sales team accountable for performance, profitability, market share, and activity-based targets.
• Sponsor strategic initiatives that enhance sales effectiveness, advisor engagement, partner growth, and distribution expansion.
• Engage in discussions about industry trends with advisors, broker-dealers, DCIO firms, and other stakeholders.
• Represent Ascensus as a thought leader in the industry at conferences, leadership forums, associations, and partner events.
• Collaborate with executive leadership across various departments such as Product, Operations, Client Management, Finance, Marketing, and Business Development on long-term growth strategies and investment priorities.
• Provide strategic insights into product innovation, service enhancements, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning.
• Leverage mid- and large-plan experience to enhance capabilities and revenue in the up-market segment.
• Stay informed about key competitors and communicate Ascensus' distinctive advantages.
• Maintain relationships with DCIO, TPA, and broker-dealer firms nationwide to promote solutions to Financial Professionals.
• Oversee and coordinate the company's sales functions.
• Develop and manage the annual sales business plan, strategies, and budget.
• Research and formulate sales opportunity strategies using analytical tools like CRM.
• Participate in the development of major client accounts and manage other accounts accordingly.
• Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing national sales organization.
• Build succession plans and leadership development initiatives.
• Hire, train, coach, and mentor new Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs).
• Evaluate and provide continuous feedback to RVPs.
• Travel with RVPs as necessary and offer performance feedback.
• Safeguard, secure, and appropriately manage confidential Ascensus and client information.
• Over 15 years of experience in the retirement plan sector.
• Proven success in leading large-scale sales organizations with a focus on national distribution strategies, revenue growth, and organizational development.
• A solid track record of surpassing revenue, profitability, and market share objectives in highly competitive settings.
• Demonstrated successful sales experience in full-service defined contribution recordkeeping and administrative services.
• Willingness to travel overnight.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, unsupervised environment.
• Possession of Series 6 and 63 licenses or the ability to acquire them within six months of employment.
• Strong, comprehensive knowledge of ERISA and plan design.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
