District Sales Manager, Pain Interventions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Oversee the achievement of unit and revenue targets for designated therapy products within the district.

• Support the district and region in reaching therapy product sales and marketing goals.

• Formulate and execute strategies to fulfill both short-term and long-term business aims.

• Conduct field visits, hold individual or group meetings, and engage in telephone communications.

• Train and mentor staff on sales techniques, product knowledge, teamwork, time and territory management, competitive insights, and career aspirations.

• Coordinate sales initiatives across the team.

• Relay corporate, divisional, regional, and district missions, objectives, and activities.

• Inspire and guide personnel to meet unit and revenue targets.

• Provide consistent feedback and coaching while scheduling performance evaluations.

• Implement corrective measures when required.

• Assist team members with their individual development plans.

• Employ customer-centric quality principles.

• Manage district assets efficiently.

• Develop and oversee budgets and forecasts.

• Ensure optimal and effective utilization of inventory and expenses.

• Negotiate and resolve pricing and contract matters.

• Collaborate with sales representatives and managers from other product lines.

• Foster ethical, long-term customer relationships and act as a representative of Medtronic management to clients.

• Recruit, interview, and hire top talent for available positions.

• Provide marketing intelligence insights to Sales and Marketing Management.

• Perform responsibilities in adherence to the Quality System.

• Travel to multiple accounts across the region.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience in medical sales; or an Advanced Degree with 3 years of medical sales and leadership experience.

• Previous leadership experience is required.

• Proven track record in medical sales, preferably with Neuromodulation products.

• Familiarity with sales and personnel management responsibilities.

• Knowledge of the Medtronic Neuromodulation product/therapy customer base.

• Additional experience in marketing, training, technical services, or related fields is advantageous.

• For degrees obtained outside of the United States, a degree that meets the standards of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is necessary.

• Candidates must reside within the designated territory.

• A valid driver's license is required.

• Positions below the Principal level necessitate unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout employment.

• Ability to travel approximately 50% is essential.
