This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee a team of Specialty Account Managers in the IgG4-RD field
• Direct the designated geographic area and team to enhance market penetration and meet sales objectives
• Evaluate market trends and data, develop strategic action plans, and ensure excellence in execution
• Articulate a clear and compelling clinical and business sales vision
• Manage territory tools, data, cross-functional partners, marketing resources, administrative tasks, learning, expenses, and program funding
• Formulate a business strategy that aligns with corporate and therapeutic-area goals
• Ensure the team receives adequate training, preparation, and consistently delivers impactful product messaging
• Meet sales volume targets, reach/frequency objectives, and other execution key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Collaborate across divisions and build relationships with both internal and external clients
• Acknowledge and incentivize individual and team sales achievements
• Address performance challenges and create professional development plans
• Enhance personal and team knowledge regarding IgG4-RD market trends and product information
• Implement innovative technologies to boost efficiency and skill development
• Conduct weekly ride-alongs with documented feedback and coaching
• Represent the organization at local, regional, and national trade exhibitions
• Contribute insights at regional and national sales meetings
• Maintain safe working practices in accordance with Amgen policies
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities
• Doctorate degree AND 2 years of Sales/Marketing experience OR Master's degree AND 6 years of Sales/Marketing experience OR Bachelor's degree AND 8 years of Sales/Marketing experience
• 2 years of managerial experience with direct supervision of personnel and/or leadership experience in managing teams, projects, programs, or resource allocation
• At least 4+ years in sales management or 8+ years in pharma/account management experience in rare diseases is preferred
• Sales experience in biologics, infusion, and/or rare/specialty products is preferred
• Experience in the Rare Disease sector is preferred
• Buy-and-bill experience is preferred
• Experience working with institutions and integrated delivery networks is preferred
• Requires approximately 80% travel, including some overnight and weekend commitments
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Strong interpersonal abilities
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must comply with regulatory standards and Amgen policies and procedures
