This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Develop and execute sales strategies and plans to surpass Industrial Automation sales objectives within the designated territory.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market trends to enhance revenue growth.
• Establish and maintain a sales pipeline aimed at customer acquisition, opportunity generation, and closure.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis.
• Engage with channel partners to increase sales and market share while managing targets and collaborative business development plans.
• Sustain relationships with key customers in the Industrial Automation sector.
• Comprehend customer needs, provide technical expertise, and offer tailored solutions.
• Address customer inquiries and ensure overall customer satisfaction.
• Prepare sales reports that encompass activity, customer feedback, and market trends.
• Deliver precise sales forecasts and participate in the annual budgeting process.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and emerging FLMC technologies.
• Collaborate with the IA Business Manager to align on product development.
• Cultivate expertise in the product portfolio for Industrial Automation sectors, including Chemical, Industrial Machinery, and Life Sciences.
• Conduct product presentations and demonstrations for clients.
• Lead and expand an established territory comprising Industrial Automation customers and channel partners.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in industrial sales.
• At least 2 years of relevant sales experience.
• Technical proficiency to comprehend technical issues and resolve problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities, with a knack for building rapport, establishing trust, and closing deals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adhere to deadlines.
• Willingness and capability to travel 25%–35% with overnight and extended travel days within the assigned territory.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Preferred experience in automation sales.
• Preferred experience in the automotive industry.
• Preferred technical aptitude in mechanical, electrical, process control, fluid power, or fluid control.
