This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Act as an external District Sales Manager to promote sales growth and customer retention.
• Report directly to the Director of Sales.
• Create and execute market strategies that include customer analysis, competitive insights, growth opportunities, and revenue objectives.
• Gain a deep understanding of key customers' businesses and metrics that drive account performance.
• Effectively communicate the features and benefits of products and systems to Retail Direct customers.
• Identify and pursue potential customer leads and opportunities.
• Understand customer requirements and provide educational support to them.
• Analyze project requirements and formulate project specifications.
• Produce project estimates and sales for pre-engineered metal buildings, pole barns, metal roofing systems, and metal wall systems.
• Follow up on quotes and ensure successful closure.
• Ensure that sales activities adhere to pricing guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as the main point of contact for customers, fostering positive relationships.
• Collaborate with internal departments to enhance the customer experience.
• Act as a liaison between customers and the company concerning potential issues and customer needs.
• Analyze and report on competitive market data.
• Provide customer-centric activities, deliverables, and services.
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• At least two (2) years of demonstrated experience in sales/marketing or sales management.
• Preferred background in building materials, particularly in pre-engineered metal buildings, pole barns, or metal roofing and wall systems.
• Familiarity with the construction process.
• Strong knowledge of drafting, estimating, and inside sales operations.
• Ability to understand and interpret architectural plans and specifications.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.
• Ability to cultivate positive relationships with team members and clients.
• Capacity to analyze market conditions and competitive landscapes.
• Proficiency in coordinating multiple projects at once.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Expected travel of 50–70% within the assigned market, including 1–2 overnight stays.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Strong professionalism and work ethic.
• Adequate personal computer and business software application skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Capability to process orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Proficient in utilizing ERP, business applications, and quoting software.
• Solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
