This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee and expand an established Northern California territory valued at approximately $3M.
• Discover opportunities to enhance customer relationships, boost market share, and generate new business.
• Collaborate with distributors, one-step dealers, and independent lumber yards to address their business needs.
• Sustain existing business through proactive prospecting and opportunity development.
• Market metal roofing, wall panel systems, trims, and accessory products within residential, agricultural, and commercial sectors.
• Conduct educational sessions for customers and training programs for contractors.
• Facilitate contractor pull-through sales initiatives.
• Partner with operations, branch leadership, estimating, and customer support teams.
• Manage a significant volume of customer interactions and transactions.
• Assist customers in transitioning through product and system integration initiatives after operational changes.
• Travel within the assigned territory to conduct customer and job-site visits.
• Climb ladders and inspect rooftops during customer claims or project review processes.
• Preferred 3–5+ years of sales experience.
• Strongly preferred experience in building materials, metal roofing, construction products, or related industries.
• Highly preferred understanding of dealer/distribution sales channels.
• Valued experience in estimating, project management, inside sales, or customer-facing construction support roles.
• Excellent relationship-building abilities with a commitment to consistent customer follow-up.
• Self-motivated with the capability to prioritize, manage multiple opportunities, and work independently.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, customer-centered sales environment.
• Outstanding communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation required.
• Ability to meet with customers regularly throughout the assigned territory.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to establish credibility and rapport with customers.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Capability to learn and adapt to various systems and technologies.
• Frequent travel throughout the assigned territory, up to 60% of the time.
• Ability to climb ladders and inspect rooftops.
• Occasional lifting of product samples and materials may be required.
