This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee commercial activities within field teams to boost sales in a designated region

• Develop, implement, and disseminate the District Sales Plan

• Track progress towards sales objectives

• Organize in-field activities to meet established results and targets

• Optimize market, segment, and team dynamics to enhance overall business performance

• Ensure seamless, cooperative daily operations and long-term business execution

• Establish the tone and tempo for business processes and organizational structure

• Provide market and franchise/business insights when guiding teams and leading in-field meetings

• Attain comprehensive knowledge of products, disease states, and managed-care information

• Mentor, coach, and develop both direct and indirect team members

• Hold direct reports accountable for their actions and meet expectations

• Offer guidance and insights to key internal stakeholders during business planning

• Consistently demonstrate AbbVie’s Ways of Working

• Operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience is required

• Skills in business analysis and planning that enhance sales performance

• Exceptional judgment and decision-making abilities

• Capability to communicate scientific details of treatments and therapeutic areas

• Proven track record of providing honest, effective feedback and managing performance efficiently

• Ability to nurture talent for promotional advancement

• Capacity to foster a culture of success and complete team engagement

• Proficiency in collaborating and influencing without direct authority across various organizations

• Valid driver's license required

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and fulfill safe driving criteria

• Required to meet applicable HCIR credentialing standards for access to facilities and organizations in the assigned territory

• Must maintain good standing and/or eligibility for required HCIR credentials

• HCIR requirements may involve background checks, drug tests, proof of immunizations/vaccinations, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses

• Willingness to travel 25% of the time
