District Manager, Neuroscience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Lead and cultivate a sales team focused on impactful customer engagements and maintaining high ethical standards in compliant sales performance.

• Surpass sales projections while adhering to designated budgets.

• Recruit and develop the sales team.

• Formulate local strategic plans informed by resource allocation decisions.

• Oversee customer interactions and budget management within the assigned customer base.

• Spearhead the development and implementation of customer-focused district strategies and synchronized business plans.

• Directly manage Sales Specialists, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and compensation execution.

• Provide both field-based and virtual coaching to enhance selling effectiveness, clinical execution, and territory business planning.

• Lead demand generation and care transition initiatives across various settings and relevant local community hospitals.

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of approved clinical information and pertinent guidelines for the Neuroscience portfolio.

• Evaluate district performance, market dynamics, and execution inputs to pinpoint gaps and opportunities.

• Collaborate with Sales leadership, Medical Affairs, and Marketing for coordinated execution and improved customer experiences.

• Establish performance and behavioral expectations, address deficiencies, and reinforce accountability, inclusion, and team effectiveness.

• Follow healthcare compliance policies and exemplify a strong compliance mindset.

• Utilize approved AI-enabled tools to enhance planning, opportunity identification, and performance insights while ensuring privacy and data integrity.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required; MS/MBA/PhD is preferred.

• A valid driver's license issued in one of the fifty United States.

• At least six years of relevant professional experience in sales and/or cross-functional commercial roles within the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or healthcare sectors.

• Capability to travel up to 50%, including overnight and weekend trips.

• Must reside in the Charleston, South Carolina and/or Savannah, Georgia area, or be willing to relocate.

• Proven experience in driving cross-functional alignment, overcoming barriers, and mobilizing resources.

• Demonstrated ability to gain commitment and prompt action through guided leadership and effectively leading teams through transitions.

• Experience in conducting structured coaching with development goals, timely feedback, and follow-up.

• Skilled in providing continuous feedback and fostering learning and development opportunities.

• Experience in translating business objectives and data into actionable district plans.

• Proficient in using performance data and insights to identify gaps, make informed decisions, and coach others.

• Ability to uphold privacy, data integrity, and policy compliance while utilizing approved AI-enabled tools.

• Preferred experience in the Neuroscience therapeutic area.

• Preferred experience with large account management and access and reimbursement dynamics.

• Prior direct people management experience is preferred.

• Commitment to learning emerging technologies such as AI is preferred.

• Experience in enhancing team AI literacy and confidence is preferred.
