This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee commercial operations within field teams to meet targets and enhance sales in the designated region.
• Develop, execute, and communicate the District Sales Plan while tracking its progress.
• Optimize market, segment, and team dynamics to drive both top-line and bottom-line performance.
• Ensure effective collaboration for daily operations and long-term business execution.
• Establish the tone and pace for business processes and organizational structure.
• Present market insights and franchise/business perspectives while leading teams and in-field discussions.
• Maintain expertise in product knowledge, disease states, and managed-care information.
• Coach, mentor, educate, and nurture both direct and indirect team members.
• Hold direct reports accountable for their behaviors and performance expectations.
• Provide guidance and insights to key internal partners during business planning sessions.
• Consistently embody the AbbVie Ways of Working.
• Cover the Dallas area along with parts of Houston and Tyler, Texas.
• Travel around 50% of the time.
• A bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
• At least four years of experience in pharmaceutical sales management; external management experience may be considered.
• Strong business analysis and planning skills that enhance sales performance.
• Demonstrated leadership as a District Manager.
• Compliance with safety and compliance standards.
• Currently meeting performance expectations.

• Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Capable of articulating the scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas.

• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving criteria.
• Must fulfill applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain the necessary credentials.
• Ability to operate a personal vehicle, company car, truck, or powered material handling equipment.
