Distribution Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Foster relationships and business initiatives with designated distributors, including providing technical assistance, product selection, training, sales outreach, and overall commercial support.

• Enhance sales and profit margins with assigned distributors.

• Collaborate with the Regional Distribution Manager to execute HYDAC's Corporate Sales Strategy, Distribution Programs, and maintain CRM updates for accounts assigned to distributors (not handled by Key Account Managers).

• Coordinate internal resources (such as Product Managers) as necessary to support distributors for HYDAC products and solutions, including preparing quotations.

• Convey market trends and product competitiveness to management and pursue new business opportunities.

• Communicate new business prospects to Product Managers for analysis as needed.

• Prepare and submit a monthly report that includes updates on target accounts, feedback on quotations, and training and updates for distributors.

• Report to HYDAC Corporate any status changes, along with forecast input for the S&OP process.


⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's degree (A.A.) is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Knowledge of hydraulics is essential.

• At least 1 year of sales experience in selling engineered products is required.

• A strong motivation to succeed.

• Technical proficiency to comprehend and recommend hydraulic circuits and solutions.

• Ability to create value propositions for HYDAC and its products/solutions.

• Capacity to build and nurture customer relationships.

• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop cross-functional relationships.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including proficiency in business correspondence, report writing, and presentation skills.

• Capability to implement strategic direction effectively.

• Proven track record of increasing sales in a specific territory.

• A mindset oriented towards customer empathy and advocacy.

• Strong project management skills.

• Demonstrated ability to identify, cultivate, and close prospective accounts.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

• Proficient in using the Internet, Project Management software, spreadsheets, and word processing programs.

• Ability to work independently while managing daily priorities and workload.
