Dispatcher/Router Combo

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Engage with WM drivers to facilitate problem-solving while they are on their routes.

• Process incoming service requests and guide drivers accordingly.

• Address service-related issues and collaborate with customer service representatives, sales teams, Route Managers, mechanics, and other operational personnel.

• Utilize WM proprietary software for managing same-day ticket routing and preparing routes for the subsequent day.

• Assign drivers based on customer requirements, driver locations, load capacities, daily variables, costs, and customer satisfaction levels.

• Enhance routes in coordination with service sites and the service department.

• Assess daily driver staffing needs.

• Distribute routes and service tickets throughout the day and for the following day.

• Oversee route activities and ensure successful route completion.

• Respond to incoming calls and emails from customer service and sales teams.

• Manage requests for pickup and delivery of containers within the market area.

• Interact with customers while drivers are on-site to address service delays.

• Diagnose issues related to delivery and pickup logistics.

• Guarantee same-day service for missed pickups by coordinating routing and monitoring driver movements.

• Travel up to 15% may be necessary to engage directly with assigned sites.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.

• A minimum of 6 months relevant work experience.

• Proven experience working effectively in a team environment.

• Capability to communicate proficiently across multiple departments.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work setting.

• Exceptional organizational abilities.

• Strong computer literacy.

• Outstanding communication skills.

• Prior experience in dispatch, routing, or logistics is preferred.
